With Spring almost in full bloom, all of us seem to have an itch to be outdoors. Anderson is a great place to enjoy all the joys of spring, especially with so many fun things to do coming up on the towns’ event calendar.
Bring your kids along and walk, run, or bike ride downtown to see a little bit of Anderson history. Follow the red, green, and blue arrows starting at the new parking garage at the corner of W. Whitner and Murray, and make your way around. The colorful arrows each designate 1, 2, and 3 miles trips. If the walking would not intrigue your kids, take them to the circus or movie night! Both are full of family friendly fun and one is free!
Hejaz Shrine Circus Extravaganza
The Anderson Civic Center is hosting the annual fundraising circus event for the Hejaz Shriners. The profits of the circus support the operations of the Hejaz Shrine and allow us to effectively serve the Hejaz Charities in the Upstate. Children of all ages love the circus, and this is a great function for family friendly fun! The circus will be in Anderson April 10th, 11th, and 12th. Visit the Hejaz Shrine’s website for ticket information. http://hejazshrinecircus.com/
Movie Nights in Wren Park
The City is sponsoring movie nights downtown in Wren Park on certain Tuesdays. There is no charge to attend and coolers (no alcohol or glass containers) are welcome. Pack some snacks and come join the fun. Light refreshments will be available.
