Today is Red Nose Day. Other than purchasing a red nose at your local Walgreens and have fun looking a little silly, it is a day to remember and honor our children.
According to rednoseday.org, “Through the power of entertainment, we raise awareness and money to help kids who need us most at home and around the world. Red Nose Day is on a mission to lift kids out of poverty and has raised over $1 billion globally in the last 25 years.”
It is also a way to give to children who might be less fortunate. They work with several charities including Boys and Girls Clubs of America, Covenant House, Feeding America, Save the Children and several others. There’s even a way to get involved, and stay in touch through social media.
There are several ways you can help from making sure children have the food they need to keeping them off the streets and in a safe home. Visit the website for more information.
The Powell Group encourages you to find out more information about how you can help. There are several ways to do so in your area. You can also visit any Walgreens like one of the many in Anderson. Our team members can assist you with this and all your housing questions and concerns.
