The Super Bowl is almost here – Why not kick it off with your own party snack?

This Sunday isn’t just any Sunday.  It’s Super Bowl Sunday!  The one day of the year when many people get ready to see the best NFL teams fight it out for the Lombardi Trophy.

While several people will go to local bars and restaurants to see the big game, many decide to spend the night in the more subdued setting of their home to avoid the shenanigans that might occur out on the town.  In doing so, they often will prepare their own Super Bowl party and prepare lots of food.

You could just buy snacks from your local supermarket.  But, why not make it special?  After all, this party only happens once a year.

The Food Network has all the ideas you’ll need to create your own kick off snacks.

For locals who like pork sandwiches, you can create your own sliders.

Of course, if you’re looking for a healthier version of a traditional snack, you can try Alton’s Buffalo Wings.  According to The Food Network, they are baked – not fried.  So, you can enjoy snacking on wings without the worry.
