Seneca offers a great way to celebrate the 4th of July

    There are plenty of ways to celebrate the 4th of July, and the Western Upstate has a great option for you.

    As many locals know, there are beautiful waterways near Seneca offered by Lake Hartwell and Lake Keowee.  Today is a beautiful day to spend on the lake and cool off from the hot weather.

    Tonight, at 6 p.m., Gignilliat Field is the place to be to hear some great music and dance to your heart’s content.

    The Catalinas will perform beach music and several other genres to help you enjoy the holiday by the lake.  Their opening act will be Authenticity featuring Doug Norwine.

    Norwine is a well-known saxophonist whose work has appeared on several television shows including “The Tonight Show”, “Seinfeld” and “The Simpsons.”

    After the music concert is over, get ready for a fantastic fireworks show at sunset.  You won’t be disappointed.
