    Ted Cruz is just one of the many Republicans running for president who are continuing to travel our state to talk to our residents.

    It is well known that South Carolina is the first Southern state that will hold a primary.  For the Republicans, it will be held on Feb. 20.  So, several Republicans are making stops all over the states.

    Republicans realize that South Carolina is important.  However, it isn’t just important to the election.  The state has seen major growth in many parts.  Many major companies are looking at Greenville, SC as a major player in the business world.

    As a result, our area has been put in the spotlight like it has never seen before.  In 2012, CNN recognized the area for its business growth including the addition of a BMW plant.  In addition, Sperling’s Best Places recognized Greenville for its cost of living in and diverse culture in 2014.
