Every room in your house has its purpose. But, what you might not realize is that includes the attic. Such was the case for a family as told by HGTV.
If you have a family member or friend who needs a place to stay for a while, the attic could be the perfect solution – whether they stay in the space or the family moves upstairs. If you work with a contractor, you can turn the once-moldy and unlivable space into something gorgeous.
The small window peeking out into the front of the house doesn’t have to be the only one. Depending on the structure of the attic – including beams, walls and other paneling – you can turn a former wall into a bigger window to shed some light into your new area.
Flooring is also a necessity. But, it doesn’t have to be costly. Your local hardware or home-furnishing store has plenty of flooring options.
As stated in previous posts, color is important. You want to make sure that the color corresponds to the intent of your new area.
Furniture should also be considered. It should match the ambiance of the new area along with color. Do you want it to be a party area or a relaxing area? The color and furniture should go along with your idea.
