Let it snow – in the Upstate? Yes!

As many locals know the Upstate of South Carolina has had several snowfalls this Winter.  But, it’s something that many out-of-towners don’t realize.

Sure, this area – from Spartanburg to Anderson (and neighborhoods in between) – is part of The South, so some people from the outside looking in may not realize we get the white stuff too.  However, we have recently been affected by snow flurries, which makes for a picturesque view of our area.

The Upstate and local mountains are often covered with snow making for beautiful scenery. Such is the case for Paris Mountain State Park in Greenville, SC

We all know of at least a handful of people who live in the Northeastern part of the country.  Areas of New York, Pennsylvania and Connecticut have gotten hammered with numerous snow storms this winter.  Many of them like the snow, but wish they didn’t have to deal with so much.

That’s what makes the Upstate so ideal.  We do get snow, and yes.  Sometimes it does make for hazardous driving.  However, since we are part of The South, we hardly ever get bombarded with storms and it melts quickly, which makes for clear roads fairly quickly.

The Powell Group invites the snow lovers to visit our website to see all the beautiful houses available in our growing area.  We are sure you will find the home of your dreams that will allow you to play in the snow and sip your hot chocolate.
