Homeowners should know the value of their home

When you bought your house, you paid a certain price for it.  However, it is years down the road, and you are thinking about selling it.  Do you know the current value of your home?

Homeowners who want to know what their house is worth have several options.  We have a small list of the things you can do.

Knowing your home's value can make selling your house easier
Knowing your home’s value can make selling your house easier
    1. Get an estimate.  Whether you do your own research or talk to one of our agents at The Powell Group, you will be able to find out the approximate value of your home.  Of course, talking to an agent will give you information that you may not have considered before.  Our agents will have detailed information of your home and surrounding area.
    2. With an agent’s help, it is crucial to look at the houses around you.  Although they may have different values, the prices may be similar.  Knowing this information will help you figure out the approximate value of your home.  Selling your house for the right price will help immensely.
    3. Consider online shoppers.  Most websites will have brackets.  For example, $200,000 – $250,000.  The point?  If you put your house up for sale at $255,000, you’ve just put your house outside of that bracket.  Therefore, any person looking within that bracket will not see your house in their search.

The Powell Group invites you to come in and find out how we can help you value your home properly.  Our team members are here to answer all of your questions and concerns.

If you are looking for a new home in the Western Upstate of South Carolina, you may log on to our website and view all of our available homes.  We are sure you will find what you are looking for.
