Many local high school seniors graduated on Saturday, and many of them are getting ready to go to college. One of the popular choices in the Upstate is Clemson University, but according to Mike Eads of the Independent Mail, the housing landscape has been going through changes.

Some on-campus dorms date back to the 50s, 60s and 70s, and their structures are becoming less trustworthy. As a result, many students are looking for off-campus options.
New student apartments are being built near campus, which still allows for walking distance to and from school. Many of them have their good points, but they also have their own issues.

You can either live in an apartment in which you have to share space with several people or you can live alone and pay rent that you may not be used to paying.
However, there is another option.
