Don’t let your garage become a closet

If you’re like most people, your car isn’t the only thing in your garage.  You keep lots of things in there.  Laundry supplies, old clothes and tools are scattered all over the place among many other items.  Sometimes, there isn’t even room for your car forcing you to park it outside.

But, is that what you intended – especially on stormy days?  The answer is probably no.

Why not organize the garage like you would any closet in your house?  Surely, you don’t keep everything lying around on the ground.  So, why do it in your garage?

There is plenty of space you can utilize.  First get an extra dresser for those clothes.  If you no longer need these items, you can also donate them to a local business that can use the clothes.

For your bottles, cans and other items, use the wall space to build shelves.  They won’t take much room and will free up space for the car.

Your tools can be placed in a big tool box that you can buy at any hardware store.  If you have a lot of tools, consider building a cabinet.  Just like the shelf, you can use your walls to create storage areas for all your tools and other necessary items.
