Democrats are coming next week to discuss the Upstate’s importance

In a recent blog, The Powell Group discussed why Republicans have shown interest in South Carolina and – specifically – the Upstate.  Both democratic candidates have come to our area excited about what we have to offer, and they are here talking about the issues before the democratic primary election on Feb. 27.

It is no coincidence that Democrats have also shown a big interest in our area.  But, it isn’t just about politics.  There have been several issues – such as civil rights and the economy – that have vastly improved in recent years.  Greenville’s unemployment rate has decreased dramatically, and the desire of major businesses to move here only helps to improve the rate.

Civil rights have often put our area in the public eye.  However, in recent years, it has vastly changed for the better.  In fact, many of our government leaders represent several different cultures.

We also have growing representation of people with disabilities.  There are many resources that our residents with disabilities can use in order to help improve their own lives.

We at the Powell Group are excited about the growth of our beautiful area and invite you to see for yourself why the Upstate has become such a great place to find your dream home.
