Thanksgiving is coming and, if you’re like many, you’re preparing to have a lot of guests over for the festivities. You may think you need to spend a lot of money on decorations. But, that isn’t true.
The Powell Group at Keller Williams of the Western Upstate of South Carolina has several ideas that you can use to create a Thanksgiving atmosphere that is just as festive for any family.
It all starts with the front door. Greet your guests with a Thanksgiving-themed doormat that offers a festive welcome.
If you are short on time – or have a lot of guests – preparing several plates and napkins (and washing them) can be a hassle. However, any family would love the idea of a festive plate or napkin. You can even get decorative paper plates if you so choose. You can find them at your local party favor store or arts and crafts store.
Once people start coming into your home, they will undoubtedly ask about the day’s menu. Surprise them by creating one. You can find several computer programs that will allow you to design it any way you want. It’ll show everyone you’ve thought ahead, and they will be able to see what they will have later in the day.
Also, your guests will probably be hungry as they come in since they are saving their appetite for the big meal. Show them you’re ready by preparing some small knick-knacks on a decorative plate. It doesn’t even have to be anything fancy. Just be prepared for the hungry crowd.
Lastly, you can even show your environmental side during the day. If you have any items that you can recycle, do so by turning them into a Thanksgiving decoration. Using them in the kitchen or dining room will show off your ingenuity.
The Powell Group invites you to explore several decorative ideas for Thanksgiving. Your family and friends will be pleasantly surprised by how much thought you put into creating such a great day of Thanks.
