Clemson’s team isn’t the only highlight in town

Now that Clemson’s football team is in the National Championship Game , the town is in the country’s spotlight.  It is a great chance to check out many of the highlights that Clemson has to offer.

There are several things to do around town, and this list gives just a few of them.

    • South Carolina Botanical Garden –  First opened in 1958, the garden showcases several landscapes for lovers of flowers and gardens alike.  Staff can also help you learn how to make your own home sustainable.
    • Larry Abernathy Waterfront Park – The park is named after Clemson’s former mayor who died in 2012.  Done in two phases, the first part included lake excavation.  The second provided concrete trails and boardwalks that give access to other parts of the town as an alternative to using a motor vehicle.
    • Brooks Center for the Performing Arts –  Clemson University’s Performing Arts Center is the hub for many great performances.  These shows offer a taste of many different cultures.  The link offers a schedule that is constantly changing.  So, come watch the performances.  You won’t be disappointed.

Many other attractions can be viewed on sites like Trip Advisor.
