Everyone in the Western Upstate is familiar with Littlejohn Coliseum – the home of Clemson University’s basketball teams. And, yes, many of us know that it has been getting a renovation for the past two years.
But, it’s time to get excited. According to Dan Hope of Independent Mail, the stadium that Clemson students, staff and local residents love will be back this fall with many new improvements.
As many locals know, it isn’t just a basketball court. It’s the home of Clemson graduation ceremonies, job fairs and concerts.
According to the Littlejohn Facebook page, they’ve hosted singer Lee Brice, comedian Kevin Hart and several other performers over the years.
Fans of the stadium will be excited to see the new stadium, which will include better sound and visuals to compliment a new feel for 2016. That’s great news for the local community who have needed to go out-of-town to see concerts and other events.
The men’s and women’s basketball teams will be at home base this fall along with many other festivities to come. Keep your eyes and ears peeled for future notices, and come root on the Tigers when they begin the new season.
The Powell Group invites you to join the community in finding out more about the upcoming grand opening of the new-and-improved venue when it opens. While in the area, you can also view all of our available homes. Our team members are here to answer all of your questions and concerns.
