We all remember the story of Little Orphan Annie – the little red-headed girl who was adopted by Daddy Warbucks. The play and multiple movie adaptations have been popular for years. But, many people have forgotten that the character started in a comic strip in 1924.
Fans of the play, Annie, will be excited to know that it is coming to Pickens County next week. The production will be held at the Brooks Center for Performing Arts on the campus of Clemson University.
According to the Pickens County calendar, it will feature “book and score by Tony Award-winners Thomas Meehan, Charles Strouse, and Martin Charnin”.
